Registering your TV BRAVIA

The registration method differs depending on the home device you want to register.

  • BRAVIA (released in 2013 or later)

    Preparations

    • Before registration, turn on the TV.
    • Before registration, connect a BRAVIA TV and your mobile device to the same home network.
    1. Launch the Video & TV SideView application.
    2. Select [Add device] on the menu.
    3. Select the TV from the device list.
      The registration code appears on the TV display.

      See “Cannot register the home device. Video & TV SideView does not recognize the home device.” if the desired TV does not appear on the device list.

    4. Enter the registration code displayed on the TV and select [Registration].
    5. Update the channel list according to the application's instruction.
      6. Hint

      Video & TV SideView synchronizes the channel list with the registered TV. Select [No] if you do not need to update it.

  • BRAVIA (Released in 2011-2012)

    Preparations

    • Before registration, turn on the TV.
    • Before registration, connect a BRAVIA TV and your mobile device to the same home network.
    1. Launch the Video & TV SideView application.
    2. Select [Add device] on the menu.
    3. Select the TV from the device list.
      A message for the device registration appears on the TV display.

      See “Cannot register the home device. Video & TV SideView does not recognize the home device.” if the desired TV does not appear on the device list.

    4. Select [Register] on the TV display by using the TV's remote.
